Intended for oboe students just starting out or looking for their first real multi-reed case (as opposed to using the coffins or tubes their reeds are shipped in), the Hommowun Music student oboe reed starter pack comes with five student reeds (effectively one reed free!) in a reed case made from an emptied Altoids tin. The included reeds will be made to have easy, balanced vibration so that the new player can immediately access all the notes of the oboe without developing bad habits to compensate for their reed. This should lead to free, unstrained playing such that the new oboist can become accustomed to the proper feel of the instrument from the very beginning.
