Return Policy

General Policy: Due to the nature of what I sell in my online store, I am unable to accept returns on most items. Instead, if there’s ever a problem with anything ordered from my store, please email me at tim@hommowunmusic.com, and I will do what I can to make it right, whether that is sending a replacement or processing a refund. The one exception is reed cases, which (after emailing me first) can be returned within two weeks of delivery. (Buyer is responsible for return shipping.) Please note additional information for particular product categories below, including acceptable causes for replacement & refund requests.

Reeds: While I will take all requests for hardness, openness, etc. into account when making reeds, ultimately everyone’s different physicalities and backgrounds will lead to different experiences of the same reed. As such, one’s subjective experience of a reed not meeting their expectations is not an acceptable reason for requests for replacement or refund. If, however, a reed arrives completely unplayable, email me within three days of delivery with images of what’s causing the reed’s failure and I will discuss options for making it right. Examples of acceptable issues that could cause a reed’s failure include: cracks or otherwise visible damage not caused by the buyer, no opening (completely closed reed unable to be blown into), massive opening (too wide an opening making the reed impossible to make a sound with—which can be very subjective).

Sheet Music: There are no refunds on sheet music orders, given the nature of digital downloads. If there are issues with successfully downloading or otherwise receiving the materials you’ve ordered, email me and I will work with you to find a way to get what you ordered to you. While I’m happy to receive feedback on my pieces and arrangements, disappointment with the music or the engraving is based on subjective, individual criteria that comes with the territory of the art form and is not representative of a failure to deliver what was paid for.
